GMballistic
Look's good Mikey and it's got a few mods already done to it that I can see (adjustable damper shocks/coilovers & ZunSport grille) which is a bonus. Hope you enjoy it.
Mikey81
Yeah the previous owner was a bit ocd I also have the original shocks and springs. The grille was fitted because he was worried about stones hitting the radiator. The seats has little bits of soft material to stop the seat belts make any noise or wear. He had a full set of geo bolts ready just incase they needed changing when it was done, but none were needed. The roof was replaced by honda in 2011 I think it was and the VSA module was replaced in October 2014. It has warranty till 2017 which is transferable too. Mikey81
I parked the 2 cars side by side and it shows just how much bigger the 350z is compared to the S2000 Edited January 11, 2015 by Mikey81
PPod
How reliable are s2000 ? Was thinking of getting my sister one to introduce her into the jap cars haha
Mikey81
My first S2000 was a 2004 had 35k on the clock, full Honda history, i had it for 15 months and did 23k in my ownership. I had to replace a rear anti roll bar drop link, but that was because i hit a small pothole on an autosolo. My current one is a 2008 with 36k on the clock, full Honda history and also has warranty until 2017 as long as i use Honda for servicing. I've only had it a week so far. I have found with Jap cars as long as the car is serviced and you check the oil regularly they should be good for a long time. I will send you a PM about buying one

Mikey81
S2000 This afternoon we went to visit the parents in law, on the way home there was a horrible noise from the passenger side rear going over bumps, i figured it was something in the boot hitting. When i got home i had a look under the car and the passenger side was covered in fresh fluids which smelt like petrol. So out with the tools and jack to get the wheel off to investigate. When i started taking a closer look at the shock it appears that the seal has gone. The car has Nitron R1 suspension, but looking at the receipts they are nearly 3 years old and have done 16k. Luckily i have the original shocks and springs which i am going to get re-fitted for now and have a look into getting the Nitrons re-built. Looks like i will be using the 350z for a few days until i get the S2000 sorted, lucky i have another car to use until it gets sorted. Mikey81
oem shocks and springs back on, new nuts used where I could as I don't like re-using old stuff. It feels a bit stiffer but I haven't really pushed it much as I just wanted to get the car back on the road. Will get the geometry checked tomorrow if I get time just to make sure. The drivers side front shock was also just starting to leak. My plan was always to get them all rebuilt, but this may wait a month or so to limit my spending as I don't 'need' them yet as I don't think I will manage any track days just yet. Mikey81
Just been using the car and enjoying it recently Still haven't got my numberplate swapped over but at least the paperwork has now been sent. Nearly at 39k so will book it in for a service at Honda this month. A few photos to show the colour of the car as its taken a little while to grow on me
Mikey81
Yes i still have my 350z The mileage is now up to 51k, so i will chuck it in for a service as i've done about 4000miles in it. The MOT expires on June 28th, so this morning i gave it to the garage and i now have it back in the works car park with MOT till June 2016 and no advisories. The S2k mileage is creeping up as well, its now at 42k. In May was our first wedding anniversary, so the wife and i went to Scotland for a few days, car drove faultlessly, even managed to return a very healthy 35mpg average over the 1261miles which considering the roads i was driving it surprised me a bit. It has just had a few mods done to it now. Mugen baffled sump, another oil and filter change, oil filter bracket to stop it coming lose due to vibrations, valves adjusted, K&N was fitted previously. Tyres are Continental Sport 5 all round, so hopefully they last me until July when i have a track day booked at Bedford.
Mikey81
350z was serviced at TGM recently, mileage is now 51,700.
Mikey81
Last week the wife got told that they could no longer afford her where she worked so has been made redundant. I've decided to sell the S2000 because it's worth more money so gives me a bigger safety net for now until she gets another job. I will be keeping the 350z for a little while because it's never let me down and has been reliable. With that in mind I have refitted the AEM so I can make some noise while I'm using it again
Mikey81
I've been meaning to clean the in-laws drive for a little while, so be rude not to clean and take some pics of the car today, I've done about 5k in it since buying it in October.
Mikey81
Car has just been sold locally, mixed feelings because i didn't really love the car but i will miss the noise it made
Mikey81
Honda S2000 - 46,590 miles Car was serviced by Honda Bracknell today, yet again they have done a good job. I went for a 12+ service, gearbox and diff oil was also changed. There is a click from the rear which wasn't identified but now I'm thinking about it, it may be the hub nut so I will get a couple of new ones to put on. I like the fact that they collect it and drop it back to me lazy but means I have no hassle and it keeps the full Honda history. Plans are now to fit the winter alloys when the temps drop a bit and continue to use it daily and enjoy it
Mikey81
For a little while I have wanted a little more noise from the exhaust. I already have the UK exhaust mod with 28mm pipe and I've heard other cars with a larger pipe and wasn't sure. There were a few exhausts that came up for sale recently and after me being very indecisive I picked up a second hand mugen ap1 exhaust. This one appealed because it doesn't have 4 inch tailpipes which I do not want on the back of my car, hopefully this should be subtle enough. Fitted it this afternoon and so far I'm liking the sound, it's a deeper sound than I was expecting but not too loud and doesn't drone so for me a great compromise I think I need to tweak the position slightly but it's dark and it's not causing issues just me wanting it to sit perfectly
