secretstar07979
Hi guys, How much do I need to be spending to get a decent honest 350z?
Ekona
Eeep, there's a good question! For an early one, I'd be looking at £6K really, but some have got great cars for a grand less. Edited October 26, 2014 by Ekona
GMballistic
Welcome aboard. Hard to say really, ...does high mileage bother you? did you want a DE, DE RevUp or HR variant? Import or UK? manual or automatic? roadster or coupe? FNSH or just a FSH?
Bodyboarder81
7-9 k will get you the pick of the bunch
secretstar07979
I'm looking at something like this spec http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171506161892?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
coldel
'good honest 350z' sounds to me like you want something as cheap as possible but won't be a dog - as Dan said above, usually £6k budget will get you a reasonable 2004 car, nothing fancy but will do the job. secretstar07979
Yes, I'm not looking to spend much over 6k really. I have 12 points on my license so I'm going to get hit HARD on the insurance.
Jp606
I thought you lost your licence with 12 points? Maybe a Micra would be better Edited October 26, 2014 by Jp606
secretstar07979
Not always....no I want a 350.
Zedd
I have 12 points on my license so I'm going to get hit HARD on the insurance. Just watch yourself if you get a 350, its very easy to accidently go over the speed limit, as I found to my cost.
mouthwash
I'd say at least 11k....

secretstar07979
I got off a ban by pleading exceptional hardship. I can get insured but were talking £
steve916
It's a 400 mile round trip for me too. Waiting to hear back from the seller
Ekona
I got off a ban by pleading exceptional hardship. I can get insured but were talking £800 Then how the hell can you afford a £6K sports car?! My dig isn't with you, it's with the system. Although I would suggest your observation probably isn't great if you managed to get 12pts in 3 years... £800 is peanuts with 12pts, but have you included all the mods on that quote? ilogikal1
I'm looking at something like this spec http://www.ebay.co.u...=STRK:MEBIDX:IT Then I'd hazard a guess that you'd need to spend about £7.5k.... Surprised no one beat me to that one.
Ekona
Plenty of cars on PH for under £5K. They can't all be sh*t.
secretstar07979
I got done for no insurance - they weren't speeding fines. My insurance expired and I didn't renew it in time. Got done a week after it expired. I can afford it no problem. I just want to know how much I need to spend. Yea, £800 is everything declared - with a specialist firm

secretstar07979
Regarding that EBAY car. I have a healthy distrust of EBAY car dealers...it's a long way to go to find something wrong with it. It's most likely from an auction. That's where most of these EBAY dealers get them from. Ekona
IN10 is only 6-8 pts, what were the others for?
secretstar07979
Also, that car has no mention of service history....which tells me it has none..
Desey
Dont worry im not going to judge you, dont have a high horse Only way to really tell if the car is any good is to have a proper good look around it Mileage is a good indicator but it isnt everything i personally would rather own a 90k car that has been looked after than a trashed 40k one Service history too isnt everything bro, some people service themselves, minor services are easy to do For around 6k you aint gonna be getting anything other than a DE engine, but thats fine, nothing wrong with them just a little less power Youll get the general vibe when looking if your smart enough, check for things that indicate its well looked after, eg the tyres, if they are good tyres, its probably been looked after
