ZedManTID
Hey Guys I have synchro issues with my 03 gearbox and as my clutch is on the way out it's probably time to start looking for a new box. Preferably a low mileage 2006 CD009. Any advice or offers are appreciated. Thanks!

ZedManTID
Thanks bud. Already tried him but no joy Considering the below but seems a bit expensive? What do you think? http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/151352641647?nav=SEARCH
Grundy
I would really think about this decision, synco's are prone to be a weakness in the Zeds, Not the end of the world, mine played up in 6th, but still works (worked) fine. Gearbox + Labour is expensive to then find out you bought a duff Gear box.
ZedManTID
Thanks GIXXERUK. I'll PM the guy now. How did I not see that post
GIXXERUK
as Grundy says buying a gearbox is a lottery, is the 06 the HR box ? yours will be a DE on a 03, the DE has the slave cylinder outside of the box and on the HR it internal, I'm not sure how this would affect fitting..Alex would know It is the best time to do it while the clutch is being dont though
ZedManTID
Ah ok, it's only selecting 6th where I have problems and to be honest I can live with it. Is there no box for a DE Zed free from these issues then? I'm a bit concerned about changing the clutch and flywheel just to have the box pack up. Can the synchro go completely? Apologies, bit of a newbie when it comes to gearboxes!
ZMANALEX
Thanks bud. Already tried him but no joy Considering the below but seems a bit expensive? What do you think? http://m.ebay.co.uk/...1647?nav=SEARCH The box in this listing is a CD002 and not the CD009 Alex.

greg tl
Get a specialist to change out the broken baulking ring. You will probably get the job done for 300 quid? 3rd gear ring is the most expensive one at around 170 from Nissan. Every other gear is 60 quid roughly. This will get rid of the crunches into gear. Can this be done with the 'box in situe? That seems like an awfully cheap fix for the thousands of people with syncro issues contemplating replacement gearboxes? Ewen@Clark Motorsport
No you would need the box on a bench but its a simple gearbox to remove to would add to the cost greatly.
