wesmin
Owning a 370Z has been an experience I have loved. The fun to drive, the admiring looks you get and even had people stopping me to tell me how beautiful my car was. I have severe back trouble resulting from a car accident 10 years ago which makes getting in and out of the 370 a bit of a struggle if someone else parks to close to you so I'm looking something thats nearly as good to drive but more suitable. hensh65
Going from a 2 seat, RWD sports car to a saloon isn't going to feel anywhere near the same. What made you think about the xf 3.0d? the guy who does work on my car just picked up a really nice XFr for 19K in amazing condition, why not that? mrt
Just sold my White XF Jaguar. Great drivers car for motorway cruising. Every conceivable extra but two distinct problems. 1. The front seats have virtually NO lateral support so you slide around when cornering and they gave me back ache after driving 50 miles or so. 2. There is a fault with the injector system which gives a constant sound similar to the " pinking " noise we used to get years ago. Suggest you check out in more detail on the Jag forums. Other than these common faults the car was reliable over 40 k miles driven... Had to change all the brake discs at 28 k as they were all worn out. Another common fault. AJRFulton
M135i Deals on them are very tempting, and 400bhp is easily attainable.... as well as 40mpg. Just isn't a looker
Turboextreme
Nearly got an M235i myself but settled with a Nismo instead. A good choice might be a BMW 330d, pretty fast with 254 BHP and a 0-60 time of 5.6 secs.
Commander
Hi Guys I'm thinking of moving on my370Z auto after 2 years. I'm thinking of a jaguar XF 3litre turbo diesel. Des anyone have any thought they would like to share? My old man has the 3.0 diesel XF S, great wafter and picks up speed very well in a straight line - if you want comfort and luxury, you wont go far wrong at all. It is MASSIVE though, so don't plan on taking it anywhere with small (or even average sized) car parking spots.
GIXXERUK
335d coupe, looks classy, well spec'd and quick with a remap, reasonable mpg
Sy1441
Had a 3.0 XF as my company car earlier in the year, was decent enough but every bit as unexcitimg as the 5 Series and 3 Series it succeeded but was slightly better spec'd. Good for pointing in a straight line on the motorway. Think I'd go A6 rather than the Jag if I was pushed, and would probably go for the avant. wesmin
Thanks guys, not a BMW fan, too common. This thread just proves cars are like women, not every man goes for the same woman. I found the xfs quite exciting to drive, a big difference to the xf. I think for looks the Jag is way out in front.
