Garyt350z
Pretty much as the title states, when I apply between 10-70% pressure on brake pedal I get quite a nasty vibration thru the car and steering wheel! Which could it be be, sticking piston in caliper or warped disc? Anyone experienced this before?
Toon Chris
Sticking brake pad. I'll bet you will find the pad well crusted into the calliper.
Richie94gts
I get the same thing, v annoying. I haven't looked at it yet, is this going to need a refurbed calliper or just a bit of grease?
Garyt350z
Cheers mate, I was scared it mite have been a caliper problem cause I wouldn't have a clue how to check or repair, but if it's the pad, it will give me more confidence to check and sort myself! Hooch
I'd say warped disc. There's a member on here who does disk skimming. Someone will post his username I'm sure. (Awkward to find on my tablet) You can buy a guage that checks the run out on the disks. They are called dial tests indicators I believe. Rock_Steady
+ 1 to that ^^ it'll be a warped disc
rothers2901
warped discs most definitely. Clark motor sport do a great line of discs. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/88812-special-package-price-dba-t2-discs-and-hawk-pad/
ryanmackk
This happened to me. I won't say it's not a warped disc 100% but it can also be that you need to grease up your caliper retaining pins. This solved the problem for me. If I had gone and swapped my rotors I'd be out lots of $, so it's always good to eliminate options.
