AK350Z
Dont know if its just me that didn't notice, but Nissan appears to have had the softest of soft launches for its new model. About time they've had a proper hatch in the line up, wonder what the eventual Nismo version will drive like? I'm interested for sure. http://www.nissan.co.uk/GB/en/vehicle/city-cars/pulsar.html
pjf1985
I think that's a nice looking car. The Nismo version should be pretty cool, saw pics of it the other day... and the even hotter Nismo RS...
AK350Z
pretty sure those are speculative renders and not official PR shots, as a NISMO version has not been officially announced yet, merely hinted at.

Yes they most probably are, but I hope they do release them. Nissan needs to get into the hot hatch market.

pjf1985
I think the Nismo version looks a bit like the Mercedes A Class, which certainly isn't a bad thing...
Suits
Nismo version would be naff anyway, just full of trim and badges. GTi-R version is what it needs.

pjf1985
The Nissan Pulsar NISMO has just been revealed at the Paris Motor Show, looks pretty nice! Nissan reveals a hot NISMO concept of its new Pulsar hatchback at the Paris Motor Show The new Nissan Pulsar hatchback has officially been given the NISMO treatment, shown in a sizzling hatch concept revealed at the Paris Motor Show today. Spied at the Nurburgring earlier this week during an official Nissan photoshoot, the Golf GTI-rivalling Pulsar NISMO has finally been unveiled up-close for the first time. Nissan claims it is just a design study currently, but we expect a production model in the near future. These images show that the rather bland-looking Pulsar has been injected with some serious sporting character. A more aggressive bodykit features, at the front, the trademark NISMO layered double wing with red details, bigger air intakes and brake cooling vents. Butcher red side skirts, flared wheelarches and a lower ride height feature, as do 19-inch five spoke alloys clad in 235/35 rubber. At the rear there is a carbon-fibre spoiler, a diffuser-style bumper and central twin exhaust pipes. Darkened chrome trim and the slate grey colour help it look notably more menacing. The interior continues the sporty theme with deep sculpted sports seats trimmed in Alcantra, a new three-spoke steering wheel and alloy pedals. Under the skin NISMO has been busy extracting around 247bhp from the 1.6 litre four-cylinder turbo engine. Sources confirm an even more potent 275bhp Nismo RS will feature later. Chassis tuning will include revised spring and damper settings for more agility, and a limited-slip differential to tame the power. Nissan has added that the steering of the Pulsar NISMO is significantly modified for more direct and involving response. Flex
Personally, I'd hope for something a little more special. Bit common looking really.

Ebized
Wtf Nissan?!! Basically just looks like the Subaru Impreza hatchback bar not having a bonnet scoop. But so many current 3/5 door hatches look as though they have come out of the same mould and then dressed a little differently

Subaru Impreza hatchback, Mazda MPS and now the new Nissan Pulsar they all look the same. Just a shame really that no manufacturer seems to be doing anything different. Does look good still though, better than the Mazda and Subaru I mentioned above but still.
Rock_Steady
I hope they make a blown version and that its RWD instead of FWD for a poxy change. That would make it more interesting and set it apart from the humdrum of FWD hatchbacks with bucket loads of torque steer. Or even 4 wheel drive for the love of Christ . That would make it more interesting and set it apart from the humdrum of FWD hatchbacks with bucket loads of torque steer. Or even 4 wheel drive for the love of Christ . They'll do that, then everyone will moan because it's 5 grand more expensive than a Golf GTi. These better lumps and more complex and distanced transmissions cost, even more when they have to be able to handle boosted horses.
