370NismoZac
Hello all.. Currently own a 2014 nismo.. If I was to fit berk de-cats, will the EML come on with the o2 spacers fitted? And if so.. how can I get it to extinguish. Also.. will it be worth it? Im just after abit extra noise but yet to decide what aftermarket system to replace the OEM nismo catback with. Any advice on this subject would be great appreciate it. Zac
GMballistic
Hello Zac, The Berks De-CAT's come with an extended 02 sensor fitting which they say is a mechanical fix for the EML. Basically does the same as the spacers so you won't need them as an extra if you get the Berks. It does say though in their "blurb" that on the 07> (HR & upward) it is not as reliable fix as it is on the earlier Zeds so you may get the EML come on anyway regardless. It can be turned off though after having a remap done. De-CATs though will fail your MOT unfortunately. If I was you I'd be looking at some HFC's instead with a nice exhaust system to bring out the noise. With HFC's you "may" get the EML come on but spacers may help stop it with them and again a remap will definitely stop it. Another plus side with HFC's is it should still pass the MOT with them although it is recommended to get them nice & hot first just to help with emissions. sipar69
Add a new exhaust first then go for HFCs on top of that if you want more volume. Some exhaust systems are quite loud on their own so you may not need to add the HFCs.

oldbonesmcgee
I'm not sure about the Nismo exhaust vs the regular one but I have test pipes with and otherwise standard system and it doesn't sound that great, strange raspy rattles and sometimes just sounds broken. Could just be because mine is a few years old now.
