GMballistic
I'm not a grandad or a pimp Gixxer how much to map a 320d? Guess the Rolls is a bit much. Mapping the 320D is from £249 "ish" apparently. Link: http://www.remappingcwmbran.co.uk/bmw.html
Zeezeebaba
I had a 330ci for a year, it drove ok and never suffered any major issues. Interesting to see the viewpoint a mondeo doesn't come close to a 3 series, the only area the mondy fails in is build quality. The chassis dynamics of a mondy surpass the bmw any day being a sure footed all weather front wheel driver.

LRF4N
Col hatches have never done it for me, even hot hatches Ford vs bmw- build quality, sporty drive, looks inside and out.... Any ford iv been in doesn't get a look into a bmw. You'd never catch me spending the best part of 5k on a ford. Granted the newer ones might be better but to say you'd rather have a ford because a bmw is too dull makes no sense to me

GIXXERUK
I'm not a grandad or a pimp Gixxer how much to map a 320d? As Graham says about £200-250 , it was done a couple of years ago and was nearer £200 then
LRF4N
Sorry col forgot about that thread lol Fair enough dan I didn't know you meant as a shed. But if it's a write off il use the payout on a new car and top it up a little if need be Cheers for that gixxer. LRF4N
Back to the drawing board... Went to see an e46 last night and it left me disappointed. Had been in a few when they were new and obviously they felt great back then. This one just felt a bit rickety- didn't feel tight at all. Especially after driving the lexus for a week which feels solid I'm hoping it was just this specific car so il see another one today but I'm not expecting much. If it doesn't I can't think of what to go for CLK sports are nice but they're still 6k for a high miler. And I used to have the old CLK wanted something different I would love a 6 series but I'd be stretching to 8k for a reasonable 3.0. Don't even try talking me into a v8 Help me out guys what other cars are out there??

LRF4N
You've missed a lot mate lol. Waiting on a paycheck for the skyline. The back end wasn't playing ball Thanks for the suggestions. Never been a fan of rx8s. Hatchbacks don't do it for me. The lexus is almost identical to the one I bought for my wife. Older style audis look too dated especially inside. And bmws need to be in m sport guise Keep me coming
Cragus
I just looked at your past topics to get up to speed. Total nightmare mate. Guess there is nothing to say that hasn't been said. I know you'll be gutted about the skyline but as you said at least nobody was hurt. Are you driving the Lexus just now? I'll keep looking for you - are you bothered about travelling to buy the car or would you rather keep it in central Scotland? I got a reminder card through a while back so have booked in to see you Thursday too. ...and what about mercs? marzman
Marzman what issues with the e46? I couldn't have a bmw without being an m sport and the pre facelift e90 doesn't do it for me Sorry mate only just seen this. Both of my e46's had a fault with the airbag light coming on. Apparently there's no DIY fix and you're looking at over a grand to sort it (and its an MOT failure). Also, both of mine had multiple suspension issues... i replaced about 6 bushes across both cars, over 3-4 garage visits. My first one was only a 60k miler, but the second was 130k ish. Cragus
Alfa Romeo 159 I know Irfan - the fact the numberplate couldn't be put on centrally rules this car out automatically.
LRF4N
Craig not bothered about travelling down south cos there's so much more variety there and better value for money. That one you posted is nice though, love that colour Looked at a few today including another e46 oora coupe like that one and a clk. Might sound daft but the doors don't have that German clunk when the doors close. I think the frameless doors cause it but they both sounded a bit rattly. Dunno why but it's putting me off Liam that's the same reason I didn't get the 159 for the mrs. Wasn't impressed with the build quality on it. It drove well though
