bigjackb
Ive been having a problem over the last few weeks of getting water into the bottom of the boot whwre the spare wheel is. However this only happens when It has been raining heavy and I've driven the car. When I was the car there's never any water leaks in which makes me think it must be a seal under the car and water coming up the way. Has anyone had this problem before? And has anyone got any ideas how to try and solve. Thanks!

Zeezeebaba
Is it parked on the flat or a slope when not in use?

Ricey
Get in the boot (if you can!) and get a mate to fire a jetwash every which way but loose. Hopefully you'll see where it's coming from.
JEMAN
Yep.....sounds like as it's when your driving it's more than likely coming from underneath........but I would still check all seals around the boot as when driving the wind can whip the rain in......good luck
bigjackb
Can anyone tell me if there are any seals underneath the boot floor that could possibly perish?
Neilp
Have you had the rear lights out at all? Take them off and check the rubber seals are on every screw hole. This will be where it's coming from

bigjackb
So i have discovered that it's the vent in the boot that the seal has failed on. Does anyone know where I would be able to buy one?
david85williams
Ive go the same problem. Can you tell me what vent you are talking about?
AndyG8nby
I had the same problem, there is a vent in each side at the rear of the boot. The original seal seems to be made of foam so i just used a mastic sealent and fixed them back in.
bigjackb
Once you take the foam stuff out the boot floor you will see a vent in each corner. They are really easy to just push out then you will be able to see what seal has failed. Pm zedmanalex that's where I got another seal from. david85williams
Cheers guys. Do the black foam bits in the boot come out easily?
