Elliot350
In preparation for getting my coilovers fitted I had the rear arches rolled by Paul from arch enemy, he did a top job. Ordered an Isis performance single exit from Tarmac sportz as I'm personally a big fan of single exit! In order to fit the exhaust ordered a jack and stands from sgs engineering, nice bit of kit and not too expensive After spending an evening removing the stock exhaust and a couple of hours today it is now fitted. Cheers guys any comments welcome
LDUNKZ18
Elliot how loud is the single exit? im also a fan of single exit on the 350's but I hate extremely loud exhausts.. the area I stay the police have nothing better to do other than harass car enthusiasts and very loud exhausts usually end up In getting you an asbo
matt89
That's some serious effort put into getting a Zed looking pristine & wish I had the time and money to spend doing this to restore my dented, damaged black zed. Seriously jealous... and enjoying the read! Quick question for you, i saw the SGS engineering low entry jack on Amazon and was very tempted by it, is the quality what you'd expect? some of the reviews said it wasn't up to par but some said it was fantastic?! atomic350z
Nice progress on this, carbon fibre side steps look very nice but I couldn't justify those considering stones batter them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The only snag I had with the jack was the little pin that holds the handle together the hole it pops in to had a little burr which had to be removed as it wasn't locking fully. Other than that spot on! This is the 2.5 ton rated one and isn't a light bit of kit....
Elliot350
Nice progress on this, carbon fibre side steps look very nice but I couldn't justify those considering stones batter them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk They will get pretty battered but had to have them to compliment the front carbon lip will be putting some carbon rear spats on at some point along with a rear bumper tuck which pretty much concludes the exterior modifications. Elliot350
So this how today started off! After waiting in for a delivery went out to the garage and started to fit a torqen titanium bolt kit in black. This is just the start of the engine bay dress up! Here's a few pictures for you guys.... Every bolt and washer individually bagged! Took a while to remove them all haha The old horrible green bolts.... The start of the new bolts.... All finished, nice easy relaxing job. Quick picture at my mates marina, went for a quick ride out And put to bed for the night! Enjoy guys
Elliot350
So time for some more progress on the zed, progress has been pretty slow but this process is time consuming and tedious! The intake plenums both upper and lower have been removed and dropped off at the powder coaters.... While the plenums were off I decided to give the engine bay a thorough clean and degrease.... Here is a before and after to show just how dirty it was before I began! Battery tray washed Now some pictures of the cleaning complete! Pictures of the wire tuck to follow. Cheers Elliot
Elliot350
So here are some pictures of how I routed the cable that goes from the alternator (I believe) to the battery. In to the brake fluid compartment Around the back of the bulk head And out the other side to the battery Would have liked it to be a bit neater than running over the top of the battery but there just isn't enough length on it for that. Here's a quick before and after, big improvement aesthetically. Hope you like guys all in all this took about half an hour to do at the most. Plenums are now back from the powdercoaters all nice and shiny awaiting to be refitted with a black Wasso plenum spacer The throttle body has also received a quick freshen up for good measure Hope you enjoy! Comments more than welcome, Elliot

Elliot350
cheers guys is slowly getting there. Am currently doing a wire tuck of the engine harness as part of the engine bay dress up/tidy up. pictures and details to follow
Elliot350
So guys time for a bit of a catch up regarding progress! As mentioned before I have been carrying out a wire tuck of the main engine harness, nothing as crazy as some tucks more just re-routing the wires from the front of the engine to the rear for a much cleaner look. I started off wrapping every plug in maskin tape and labelling them so everything went back as it should. With the passenger side all unplugged I began to strip the conduit and sheething off of the loom and seperate the plugs as best I could, it's not possible to competelt seperate them as some wires cross each other's paths but you can get the pretty well separated and in good order. Here's a quick before and during picture, you can already see how much cleaner the front of the engine will look without the harness there. My strut brace was ready at the powdercoaters so gave that a quick test fit, you can see the bundle of wires at the back waiting to be finished up. I was probably around 4 hours in to the tuck at this point.
Elliot350
So here goes on to the pictures of how the loom is run behind the engine, it was initially wrapped in self amalgamating loom tape, but just for piece of mind I went over it again with cloth loom tape as well; this is meant to be high temperature proof and vibration proof and some other bits I've forgotten. I would have liked to secure the lambda connections a bit differenly and may revisit them, although they look quite neat cable tied to the main loom. And here is an overall shot with the plenum placed on top of the engine. Just to show that the plenum hides most of the coil pack wiring nicely and the engine looks a lot tidier now the wiring has been moved. All in all probably took me around 8 hours mainly due to taking a bit of time and wrapping the loom twice. The only wire that had to be extended was the Earth/ground for the coil packs other than that no wires have been cut and rejoined. Hoping to get the plenums back on in the next week or so and Fire up! Hoping all goes well. If anyone is wondering the turbo is going to be fitted on to the car but was just sitting in the engine bay looking at space and fitment etc. enjoy guys, much easier to get a harness cover which was my original plan but has been quite enjoyable to do and very pleased with the results. Cheers, Elliot

Elliot350
back breaking work it is indeed! It would have been easier to remove the bonnet but realigning it again would have been a pain. Thanks for the comments guys
Elliot350
Been a long time since the last update, so here goes! With the wiring tuck complete the lower and upper plenums were re-installed with a black spacer courtesy of Ian (Wasso). Here's some pictures of the finished article for now and a before and after.... P.s the only wire I'm not happy with is for the MAF but that will most likely be changing position once the turbo is fitted.
