Gus
Adam may not know the UK import tax and VAT side of things. You should allow approx 20-22% ( of the total, including postage ) to cover import duty, VAT and handling fees. Gus

Duty will depend on the taric code used, but normally between 1.5 - 7%
7eny
I'm looking at buying an exhaust and depending on how much of my budget is taken in duty and tax, possibly some high flow cats
signwizard
I'm looking at buying an exhaust and depending on how much of my budget is taken in duty and tax, possibly some high flow cats The price in $ will not be far off £'s by the time you add the shipping and the rest of the charges into the UK...exhaust will be heavy so for it to fly will deffo cost a few £££. Volumetric weight will be a killer on an exhaust if its in a box

Surely there are traders on here that sell them.
7eny
I've been quoted aprox £1500 to buy a nismo exhaust in the UK and $1365 including shipping to the uk from the states, with the dollar against the £ at the moment it's a pretty good deal, i just need to figure out what i will be charged by the government for it
Ian
Will still cost you a lot less than UK prices. When I bought my exhaust from Adam i think it cost me about £900 & about £190 in customs charges.

martinmac
Usually sort out import tax yourself. When the part arrives at the UK airport an agent for the carrier (UPS etc.) will contact you and you pay by credit card. Cant remember the rate but by that time you are so that you will just pay.
