Ian
Still watching . Did you send you're ftont subframe core to them? Or just pay for one? Excited for you Paid for one Was $400 for it but it saves the hassle of sending something that size back to the states
Ian
Getting excited now just been told that the conversion kit is leaving the US today :yahoo: Also bought a few new parts tonight. Started with the suspension - for now I've just gone with coilovers & roll bars. Same combo as the original Z - Cusco all round. I know they work, I know how well made they are & I know how well they work so happy to stick with the Cusco stuff. Then I bought a new Defi setup - control unit, Boost, Oil Temp & Oil Pressure gauges in red. going to switch off the computer now before I spend any more money :scare:
CJRamze
I've not frequented the forums much recently ( I try to stay away over christmas otherwise I'll spend bucks ) If you need a pair of hands just drop me a line, I'm not very good and have no experiance but if you need someone to 'hold this whilst I' then I'm more than happy to help! Ekona
Apologies if I've missed this bit mate, but what's the weight difference between the V6 and S6 engines? Just wondering as you may have wanted to change front spring rates to suit, although possibly a little late for that now if you've already ordered

Ian
I need to clear up a few things regarding the Supra mapping after having a chat with Ryan who mapped the car (After some members on here contacted him to alert him to the fact that I was unhappy with his work!) After speaking to Ryan, it seems that the Supra had a multitude of faults that were picked up on by Ryan during the mapping session. Unfortunately these faults were not relayed to me by the "Supra specialist" (And I use that term in the loosest sense) that did the work on my car over winter. From speaking to Ryan & from the notes he has about my car, everything ties in with exactly how my engine ended up in the condition that it did - had I known this from the start (As I suspect the "specialist" did and was probably hoping the car went bang on the dyno so they could sell me more overpriced parts) I'd have cut my losses with the car a LONG time ago. The faults that were picked up during mapping Misfire above 1.1 bar - Car was returned to me running 1.3 bar & was told that car was running very nicely & the map was very smooth! Smoke on overrun - indicating Valve stem seals, turbo seals or piston ring issue -When my engine was stripped we found cylinder 4 piston to be damaged & a broken piston ring! Fuel pump needs better wiring as suffers from voltage drop at high RPM but my car "feels very strong on the road for sure, I’m sure you’ll like it…" Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't hesitate to use or recommend Ryan - its just unfortunate that I was deceived by a perceived Supra specialist

There was no need for anyone to go crying to Ryan behind your back, surely if you had a problem with him then you'd sort it yourself.
d95gas
When I read this post I was shocked to hear about Ryan letting you down. I have known Ryan for many years, going back to when he first started out. He has done a good deal of my friends high powered MR2's and Supra's and all I have ever heard was positive comments. I'm so glad this has been sorted out and you got to the bottom of the truth, and reinstated Ryan with the merit he deserves. Nice one
Ian
At no point did I ever criticize his work, I just stated that I was unhappy with the map. At no point did I ever "attack" his work or try to ruin his reputation. Some fanboys though see any slight hint of criticism as a full scale attack............. Tricky-Ricky
Will be keeping an eye on this build thread with interest, seems you where royally messed about by the "garage" that did the work, I would have been VERY surprised to find that Ryan had indeed made any **** ups regarding any tuning, in the 9 odd years I have resided on the Supra forum I have never heard a bad word about him, I have met him and talked a couple of times and was impressed with his knowledge. After all you don't get your flights and accommodation paid for all over the world for mapping unless you have some serious talent.
Ian
I forgot to a pic of the titan oil pump which is an amazing piece of kit, but i'll probably get a few tomorrow Been having a bit of chat over the exhaust the last few days and think we have finally come up with a solution that is probably unique to a road going Z - might even cause more of an outrage that the single did all those years ago Planning on copying the JUN car like the pic below, except mine will be drivers side instead I am a little worried though that it might lose its sleeperness look with it. Also had to have a change of plan on the coilovers, Cusco have discontinued the Zero 1s so instead I will be having the new Street Zero A model sent. They offer more adjustability than the zero 1s do. My mount kit is still sat in customs - where its been for the last week

Ian
Just been working out what bits we have left to buy to complete this and my list is getting smaller every day Fuel system Radiator Race Tech Dash Intercooler piping Polybushes exhaust :yahoo: :yahoo: plus new wheels and brakes if i decide to sell the brembos and enkeis
Tricky-Ricky
If your determined to go for a side exist why not have a slash cut tail pipe coming out of the bodywork just in front of the rear wheels? slightly more descrete........ and side exit flames are a nice surprise for the people you pass. Ian
it is something that has been considered I do want to keep some subtleness to it if ican! my favourite option is still the single exit but with the screamer pipe out of the front wing
DoogyRev
Planning on copying the JUN car like the pic below, except mine will be drivers side instead the little corner seats on the rear bumper could do with a nice fitted cushion
