SJ350z
So haven't been on here properly in a while so thought id stop by and catch up with you guys. Been overloaded at work working 6 days a week and was really getting to me.. Anyway just thought id share my little dramas that have happened recently this weekend. In short , Car exhaust is starting to blow from mid/y pipe section. A child spat in my face at work and have had a bit of a run in with my manager ( He is a friend ) Now , the arguement with the manager in short is over a girl. They were having a fling and he doesn't like the fact me and the girl are friends. We just get along really well and I've explained to him twice nothing has been going on. Now this is where it got a bit serious. Me , the girl , and a gay friend from work went to the pub , had a lemonade after work and I gave the girl a lift home as it was midnight. Nothing occured and the next day I receive a text saying " I like how you went out with X " Then few hours later said " no reply ". Now in short in the kind of guy that will deal with things face to face in person I dont like pratting around over a the phone. So I confronted him the next day about it and he didnt want to know?! Said my piece and he made a minor threat and nothing has happened since.. So that was all yesterday.. I get home and mum and I end up having an arguement adding the stress of the day. So I decided to call a close girl mate for a wind down. Now this is where I think things get slightly funny as what else could i do We're on the phone and after telling her about the recent dramas and X Y Z I asked how she was. She replies with , very well had a very messy night last night. So I asked if she got with any ugly guys as you know.. young women.., alcohol .. stories and she says no. So i reminded her last time she went out she told me she looked in the mirror and looked like the Joker from Batman due to getting with someone  All goes quiet and I thought she had gone. She replies saying she is still there but very quiet for a couple of minutes. I then get a message.. from her informing me that her boyfriend is round and I had just landed her completely in the @*!# In the end I just gave up and submitted to realization of having a crud weekend.. Feel free to attempt to lighten up the mood for a Sunday ! Hope you're all well and had a much better time of it than me
GMballistic
Sh*t happens. If the manager is a friend of yours and he's having a fling with that girl then be a mate to him and stay clear of that girl imo. Otherwise as you're finding out it will cause problems. Yes you've done nothing wrong & he shouldn't be so jealous but sometimes these things just escalate and tbh is it worth losing your job over if it comes to that? he is your manager after all. I've asked for a transfer to a different more local leisure centre as a calculated decision. I shouldn't have to sacrifice a friendship over nothing. If he wants to act silly and immature about it thats up to him but I don't work that way and I'm definitely not going to buckle and be like there there. I was nice and explained very genuinely its nothing the first time and my word hasn't been good enough so I'm not interested in slightest. A leopard cant change its spots after all
GMballistic
He's obviously a bit insecure SJ and if he doesn't trust you at your word then probably not a very good mate imo. Definitely for the best if you can change job locations as you wouldn't want his insecurities threatening your job.
SJ350z
Hit the nail right on the head GM. Goes to the gym , has taken roids previously, insecure about his fighting ability , looks , friends .. the lot. I'm trying to handle this in the most appropriate fashion possible and make the right decision rather than it ruining my career. I want to enlist to the RAF in December anyway so I'm trying desperately to keep my head down
