GMballistic
Here's a "did you know" that Halloween or Hallow's eve Originates from the Republic of Ireland. So we can blame the Irish for that one. Good to know.

coldel
I work for Nectar card, the Christmas planning was all done and dusted before mid August! Clearly though not rolling it out this early, that pub is just making itself look moronic.

Ponsonby
I lived in Lanzarote for a few years and Christmas didn't start till end of Nov/beginning of Dec. Then when it was Christmas it was mainly about Christmas, not the American consumer Christmas. I'm not religious in anyway, but I enjoyed it more than I do here. That's part of the problem ~ too many bl**dy American traditions/ideas coming over here. Can't believe lot's of schools are now doing "Proms" over here! Wtf's that all about. Already been through a couple of Proms with my daughters - damn ridiculous and they get so stressed about it. Thinking of cashing in myself and using my brightly coloured (english spelling) 350Z as a prom car since there is a popular venue not far from me. If someone is stupid enough to pay it I will happily take their money. Regarding Christmas - way too early! Even worse if they have started playing the tedious Christmas music. If I went for a meal and they were playing the music now I would just pass comment and leave.
