WhackyWill
Oh brilliant! Just found this again! According to the Guinness Book of Records, the World Record for 'The Most Driving Lessons Without Pulling Away From The Kerb' reads as follows: As of May 17th 2003, Mrs Andrea Pike of Nottinghamshire (GB) had taken 3547 driving lessons without once feeling confident enough to pull away from the kerb or even start the engine. Her weekly lessons involve her getting nervously into the car outside her home and sitting whilst her instructor once again patiently explains what the controls are. During one of her lessons in 1999, Mrs Pike plucked up enough courage to briefly waggle the gearstick to check the car was in neutral before fainting. To date she has spent over £75,000 on lessons and has been through 412 instructors. Just wondering it anybody on here knows her... It's worth watching, people like Andrea Pike do exist, at least Andrea never got as far as starting the car up unlike like the people on this programme

Ekona
The only place on the entire interweb that 'fact' appears? Right here on this forum! Yeah, I'm sad enough to have checked. Sounds like something The Onion would put up.
