Grundy
Can you open the files in Open Office? This, need to know what happens before this error occurs, are you saving, opening or does it just happen mid way? Or every time you launch? My first suspicions were it wasn't activated, but as you said on facecrap, you've had it for 8months.

Grundy
weve downloaded application forms and when we try to open them it does this but also the familys cv which were fine a month back do the same when trying to open does it regardless of if you open it from in side word or outside And you've always used the same version of Office the past 8 months? I.e. you've not gone from say 2003 to 2013?

At least it will prove your files are ok.
Ekona
That's why I mentioned OO. Rule out any issues with the files themselves.

JetSet
I don't think he's actually done any programming since this picture was taken Seriously though, I would reinstall Word, one of the DLL files could be corrupted or even overwritten by a version that Word 2013 was not expecting. EDIT, I see you've already done that in which case you may need to do a full system restore. blaqkaudio
Find where the Word docs are saved on your PC: Right click the file and go to 'Properties' At the bottom of the 'General' look for Security If you see a button to the right that says 'Unblock' then the file has quite literally been blocked because it came from another machine... Click the 'Unblock' button and then 'Ok' Try opening again...worth a shot
