Ceejay29
So I often pass this old Citroen on my way to the office with admiration I actually think it is pretty cool! Any ideas on what it is...a Pallas?
GMballistic
It's a Citroen GS estate by the looks of it. 70's style.
ATTAK Z
The Pallas ( for Pallas read delux) model brought thicker carpets and more upmarket fabrics.

Ceejay29
Haha I dread to think how many accidents that cockpit has caused
GMballistic
Haha I dread to think how many accidents that cockpit has caused I can imagine in a crash situation without a seat belt on you'd probably get your head stuck in that steering wheel. ATTAK Z
To put the car in context, I was driving around in an E-Type at the time
Bockaaarck
My mum had a Citroen GS Pallas, it was a great little car in terms of comfort and I remember it being a fun car. It was a bit underpowered though.
Zeezeebaba
The picture puts into stark context how cars have increased in size over the years. Citroën ' s back then we're quirky an innovative . I really like it, good find.
TimFF
I had (briefly - it was a swap) a 1976 CX. The most comfortable car I think I've ever been in, and that includes a contemporary Silver Shadow and XJ6/Xj12... Bronze with beige velour - sadly I didn't take any photos. Quirky as heck though - the speedo was a revolving sphere, the high pressure hydraulics (suspension and brakes) meant you didn't have a brake pedal but a button which went from no brakes to full panic power in about 3mm of travel. You soon learnt the meaning of feeling the brakes. IIRC the GS had a flat four engine - the rear spark plugs could only be removed from below. It was such a good system, Rolls adopted it under licence. I kid you not. Long time since I saw one on the road, but a GS similar to the car spotted is run by a staffer on Classic and Sportscar.

Ceejay29
Something very similar if not the same is covered in front of it!
Rock_Steady
aha!! this reminds me of my dads love affair with god awful citroens. Yes, that carbuncle on wheels in none other than the CX estate. My dad had one exactly the same as that. Those were dark days. Closely followed by not 1 but 2 citroen SMs! Italian + French engineering.......need I say more.
