Rear Brake Pads Rattling!

So when I bought the car, I noticed that the rear brake pads were rattling like mad.

I assumed that they just needed replacing as they must be worn out.

Once the wheels were off it was apparent that they were not worn and were in fact like new (I'd say about 3mm wear in total).

I decided to swap them out anyway for the new Mintex MDB2261 which were the exact same as what came out.

 

 

After a few days they started to rattle once again as the Copper Grease and pads bedded down.

 

Now... Since then I have found out that my car is an import and as a result, its a Fairlady?

I have also been advised that I now need the following Nissan part 440808H325 which is an Anti Squeal/Anti Rattle kit.

 

Is this right guys? Is this what I need or do I have the wrong pads?

If the shims above in your picture are not there you will need them as that's what will cause your rattle. The brakes will work fine but I can imagine the noise will be very annoying

The noise is horrid! Im ashamed to drive it around at the mo..!

Yep, set of shims should bring back peace and quiet from your rear end

Rattle kit fitted and took the car for a spin... Whoop Whoop! Loving the peace and quiet!

Now for the squeaks and rattles in side the car... First one will be the one from the dash panel behind the clocks.

 

There is always something!
