G1uk2010
Are their many people with DE engines running Decat, plenum spacer, induction and remap? I know it only gives an extra 15-30bhp and a bit more torque. But do you feel the difference in acceleration and rev pick up etc? Thinking about putting silenced decats on my standard exhaust. Then getting plenum spacer fitted with a remap. I already have a pop filter fitted from when I got the car. Is it worth spending close to a grand for the extra grunt? Ricey
I've driven a zed with HFC's, plenum and remap......you could feel the difference.
GMballistic
I've driven a zed with HFC's, plenum and remap......you could feel the difference. Exactly what my car has along with an Invidia Gemini full exhaust system, ..I'd say there was definitely a noticeable difference over the car from when it was standard. Made 293.4hp on the dyno which isn't bad imo for an 11 year old car. Pick up is also quicker in the first few gears after the UpRev.
Grundy
All I will say is, don't expect a brand new feel to the car. A few people had said this before and got me really excited for it. I was disappointed Needless to say I'd get it again if I had another Zed only for the fact that power is power. 1/2/3 gears you feel improvements (Not drastic put your head in the back of your seats improvements) but after that you are equal to a non mapped zed. Just wanted to give you answer to think about (I had everything done before I got map - Decats/Exhaust/Induction/Plen Spacer) Edited September 21, 2014 by grundy225
G1uk2010
Cheers guys. I'm not expecting a massive difference as it's under 10% power increase. If only putting a turbo on was cheap lol But still think I will put some pennies away and get this done. As had been said power is power and if it helps with pick up in first few gears that's all good
mrt
Had my HR done after fitting Cobra hfc,s and Invidia dual exhaust. No need for plenum spacer on the HR. Moved bhp from 313 to 333 Car revs quicker in 1 to three. Just seem to change gear earlier. Can,t say it accelerates more just revs higher before changing.
