DoogyRev
A little update . . . Been waiting for a package . . which arrived on Friday Some polishing goodies from Mr Wasso So today I thought I would get back to it, was not happy with the scratches on the shiney bits so I tried flap wheels . . nope, back to the sanding disk on the grinder . . nope. Popped down the road to see what other goodies they had and came back with theses . . . yup . . . thats the jobby. most of the scratches have gone, and I had a go with the polishing implements . . photos don't really do it justice, its a huge improvement on how it was. still needs more work though. Going to have a go at the cylinder tubes tomorrow. Will see how that turns out. Edited April 26, 2015 by ioneabee

DoogyRev
Well its been a while since I updated this, reason will become clear shortly Anyway, Bruce died. . for those who don't know, Bruce was a Bronco (Ford), so that means . . . . . I get his engine block and all the trimmings . . . So now I have two tables to make. Since the original one has been cleaned up, I decided to make a start on the new one to stop the rust getting any more grips. The block has been on the truck, but no head attached, rain damp and all sorts have been attacking it. . . . but before I made a start work got in the way . . . I went here . . then I went here . . . . . and while I was there, I got to go here . . Since I was traveling east, I decided to venture a little further, so I went here . . . And that was a complete lap of the globe, 52 air time hours in coach After all that sitting down, time to crack on, block de-greased and I started cleaning up the "shiney bits" and sorted out the extra bits, I now have another 8 pistons
DoogyRev
This last weekend, I went out and got a honing tool. Here it is . . It nearly killed me twice, doing some research on you tube, the chap said after honing the cylinder pull the tool out whilst its still spinning . . Ummm Don't do that!! The frigging thing exploded and the arms flew off at 600rpm So off I went to get another one, since I can't find two of the arms . . they are in the garage somewhere So take two . . and the same things happened . . I am going to put it down to jet lag Anyhow. . this is how I got on . . . after a first pass. Getting there . . . And this is how it looks at the moment. . . Still a long way to go to get rid of all the rust pitting, but hey, whats the rush I am off to pack my suitcase again . . got a week or so coming up here . . Thats all of now Edited June 2, 2015 by DoogyRev
