Hooch
Looking for a new gear knob to replace my standard ones that's worn. Been looking at all sorts and cant decide. This is the one i really want but they are as rare as hens teeth and if I buy new they are silly expensive. Anyway, show me your knobs and ill pay for the one that looks best! ROFL. Haha I did edit it but it's still really gay. You can't talk about knobs without it sounding slightly homosexual.
GMballistic
Regarding the finisher at the bottom of the gear knob I got one years ago from Demon Tweeks to fit a Momo gear knob. Link: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/gear-shaft-sleeves/richbrook-aluminium-gear-shaft-sleeves Lot's of knobs on there too : http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/gear-knobs Used to have a Skunk2 billet gear knob in my Type R which was great. Lovely weight to it. Blox gear knobs look pretty good too if you're after some colour. Currently Hooch in my Zed I have a 6 speed gear knob that is from a Nissan Primera (I've been informed). Looks great imo though.
Hooch
I saw that Primera knob and it looked good but couldn't find any for sale and wanted something new. I have seen these knobs and the Skunk 2 is nice but the thing stopping me from buying it is the but at the bottom which wouldn't sit right with the finisher. Been looking at loads in america but the cheapest one I found which was nice was £60+ and I wasn't that in love with it. The blox one is to OTT for me with the colours, needs to be a brushed silver really. But I do like the shape of those, I'm not a massive fan of the thin Nismo ones. Martinjj
Could have had my Primera knob for free, forever coming off in my hand, but it went to meet its maker with the rest of the car around 5 months ago..
GMballistic
Just had a look and couldn't see any brushed silver but I noticed this one which caught my eye. Link: http://www.epracing.co.uk/product.asp?strParents=&CAT_ID=0&P_ID=399&strPageHistory=search&numSearchStartRecord=6 Any good?
Hooch
Again seen it and not a fan. These are the ones I've seen in the use and liked but just to much £££ after postage: Cheapest but not amazing: http://lathewerks.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=30_50&products_id=175 Too much after postage but would look good with the finisher: http://shop.moddiction.com/Anvil-2-Titanium-6-Speed-engraved-shift-knob-065.htm Again too much after postage: http://www.twmshiftknobs.com/shiftknobs/type-r-shiftknobs.php But this is just my favourite and I can't find one anywhere for a normal price! GMballistic
Has to be the Nismo one for me out of those Hooch. The other ones just look too plain, ...even the first one. Have you tried Clark Motorsport as I seem to remember a thread from them about getting accessory parts so maybe they could get the Nismo gear knob?!. Hooch
I have tried Redline Styling but its £148 which I just can't justify for a gear knob.
Bems
http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/90624-nismo-gt-titanium-shift-knob/ There ya go. Best hurry Hooch
Kev
The one you like is the stune nismo knob. It's much cheaper than the other nismos from what I've seen. There is a stockist in Manchester. They come in titanium (which is still not that expensive) and black rubber. I'll see if I can find a link. ianphampton
Brushed silver with grip grooves - it's not a branded design as my son made it for me and so made a spare or two - PM me if you want one. (Theres a brushed and anodised one, a polished and very lightly anodised on and a nylon one here)
Hooch
It's cool Ian, went and bought the titanium one that came up for sale. They do look good though, your son did a good job!
