Kaveney
After a few days of beading in the clutch feels very tight and nice and the exhaust noise is a bit more fruity . Alan
Kaveney
Another few updates over the weekend . First was to change all x 4 Kumho tyres . Still some good tread on them . After lots of reading and with the car being my day to day car I went for a full set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports . And the tracking done at the same time . I will look to have a another alignment done soon but this will do for a few weeks . Also received my rear brace . Fitting was ok and went in nice and tight . Then last was to remove my Stillen induction and replace this with a 06 350Z air box . Stillen unit Old air box next to 06 air box The inlet velocity stack on the 06 air box is larger and good for a few more BHP and LB/FT Old New And BMC panel filter to go with the 06 air box All put in and tightened up . Kaveney
My XXL BBK arrived last week From Torqen so I got round to fitting this at the weekend . First up was to remove the old disc and thought I would so how heavy they are . STD Rear 322mm disc @ 7.3 Kg New rear 356mm disc @ 9.0 Kg Ols vs new . The Rear disc dust shelled needs to be cut to house the bigger disc . Rear disc installed . New rear 6 pot calliper is a bit on the large side . With street pads . And installed . Then on to the front . Old front disc 324mm @ 9.0 Kg . New front 356mm @ 9.0 Kg . Old vs new . Again the front disc dust shelled needs to be cut to house the bigger disc . Front disc installed . New front 8 pot calliper is a monster . And next to the already large rear 6 pot . And installed The rear just fit with a few mm of clearance under the std 18†Rays . The fronts are even more tight but do just fit . All done and flushed / bleed with super blue fluid . Kaveney
Just a small update on the BBK I got from Torqen after a day after bedding the system in . The great think about the kit is that it has the same feel as my old Brembo set up in as far as when you touch the peddle at slow speeds it does not grab or is too sensitive . I would say at ¼ to ½ peddle travail the force / stopping power is the same as my Brembo set up with DS2500 ( DS2500 when hot ) pads S/S lines and new discs . From then on at ¾ the car stops like it has hit a tree and I still have not given them the full on stamp . I will see how much better they get when fully bedding in . Kaveney
Another update as I got round to fitting my Meister-R Zeta-R coilovers . Front old vs new Installed Front Front adjuster Rear old vs new Installed Rear Rear adjuster that needed some drilling of the rear brace . Have only driven it a few miles but the handling is night and day on full soft to the set up that was on it . Ride is 3-5 % more stiff on full soft vs the old set up so nice and compliant on full soft . Alan
