Ridz
Cooling fan failure seems to be a common failure with Zeds. I was just wondering if there is an optimum time or mileage when these could be replaced with the Mishimoto units. It would be interesting if you could advise when you had to change or repair your fan units. I would have guessed that they would be good for around the 100,000 miles mark. ATTAK Z
Some have failed earlier because they aren't used much but in my experience I had no problem up to 77,

Neilp
its a 2hr job to strip them out, repair them (free usually) and then refit. People are mental spending big money on new motors Edited September 10, 2014 by Neilp

Neilp
how do you know the motor is fine? Its brushes that jam in the holder and lose contact with the commutator
Tricky-Ricky
looking at mine recently i'm now convinced the motor is fine. I think its the temp sensor. If the coolant temp sensor was faulty you would see a P1217 or P1218 fault code, fan switching is taken care of by the IPDM/relays.

JetSet
For that matter its the original battery too. That's the only part I've had to change on mine, lasted 2 and a half years .
