Ceejay29
Hi Jez, I purchased the DE spacer kit from you a fair while ago now. Since replacing the OEM strut brace with an aftermarket one I have noticed that it now fouls the U/S of the bonnet. I think the answer is to reduce the height of each alloy spacer you provided in your kit, thus reducing the height of the brace. Ideally I would replace them or I can try to grind them down (however this may not be accurate). My question to you is; Do you know the height of the alloy strut spacers you provide in your kit and do you have any idea where I could find replacements? Apologies the car is in the garage so I cannot pop out to measure myself. Thanks CJ
Wasso
It's the same as the spacer 5/16, well mine are. You could reduce the height of the aluminium spacers for the strut. Sand them down maybe. I can sell you a pack of aluminium spacers if needed.
Ceejay29
I am tempted to sand them down although trying to get all eight exact will be tough. The spacers you have; are they smaller in height? Or would they be to replace the ones I am sanding if it foreseeably c0ck it up Edited August 31, 2014 by Ceejay29
Jez @ H-Dev
The spacers are 8mm thick, which is about the same as 5/16". You could sand them down or use stacks of M10 washers.
Ceejay29
Thanks for your reply Jez, I think I will attempt the washers first as that seems pretty fool proof
