Ceejay29
Hi Guys, I am after a new aftermarket steering wheel. I currently run a Suede deep dish OMP rep will seems strong and suitable although I would like the real thing. The one complaint that I do have with suede is that it ends up filthy and requires a wash every so often. However I do like the look and feel despite its durability. Has anybody changed from suede to leather if so what are their thoughts and are there any other suggestions as to what wheel to go for? £150 budget. Thanks
GMballistic
Just spotted this thread mate. Honestly the best steering wheel I have ever had was my Momo Jet 320mm wheel. It looks great and is probably within your budget so that's my recommendation.
Desey
Get a polyurethane steering wheel. Changed to one from a leather and have had a suede one before and it's a revelation!
Ceejay29
Yes GM I know a quite a few that have owned the Jet and loved it. It's a nice looking steering wheel but I can't imagine it in the cockpit after running a deep dish, it looks so flat lol! I have been tempted by the Nardi Deep Corn although it seems like a design that would feature within a classic/classy car....something traditional. The Personal Neo Grinta is rather nice, although again would take some getting used to aesthetically. Cheers Desey I will have a look into polyurethane Edited August 29, 2014 by Ceejay29
GMballistic
Seen some nice OMP made deep dish wheels before. Is this the sort of thing you're after?...

Yes I currently have a replica OMP that I am getting shot of and will end up buying a legit OMP as pictured above if I cannot find something else. Don't get me wrong I love them, the issue being how common they are. Generally if you ask somebody to name a deep dish they will mention OMP. Fancied a change, but similar design hence the Nardi Deep Corn.

GMballistic
Lot's of steering wheels on Demon Tweeks; http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/steering-wheels Might find them cheaper elsewhere but at least it might give you some more options to look at.
GMballistic
Two steering wheels for sale on here that I noticed. Fairly cheap but thought I'd give you a heads up; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/88568-atc-japan-steering-wheel-momo-boss-unique-steering-wheel-vibe-speakers/
Richie94gts
I've had a couple of isotta wheels and rather like them: http://www.isotta.com/eng/prodotti.php?idparent=1&picture=20&over=1&overdown=
Lacky
I really like the Nardi steering wheels that driftworks sell. They have a good video that shows why you shouldn't buy rep wheels too!
Ceejay29
Thanks for the heads up GM and Richie some of the Isotta's are really out there! Nice range. Yes Lacky that exact video is why I want to replace my rep, although it is much much stronger than their example

Richie94gts
Useful thread as the only part on the zed i dont like is the stock steering wheel! I'm with you - it had to go. Part of the reason I wasn't worried about getting a GT, that way I wouldn't feel bad when I disconnected all the controls!
