Ceejay29
So I want to add what I believe to be a water temperature sensor/gauge to the engine bay; I think I have seen a few examples on the forum and have found a mishimoto example but have no idea how a gauge is connected. They seem to be located where the bleed nipple/screw is. I have probably seen the examples spoke of on FI zeds and could be mistaking this gauge for something else but worth a query! ZMANALEX
Best to fit the sensor to the top radiator hose. Alex.
Ceejay29
Ok thanks Alex, could you point me in the right direction or am I heading along the right lines with the Mishimoto rad hose sensor adapter?
ZMANALEX
Link required to the adaptor that you are referring to for my informed view. Alex.
Ceejay29
http://www.mishimoto.co.uk/mishimoto-32-mm-water-hose-connector.html Two examples of what I am referring to. This could be turbo related as it is an R33; Second example is quite a set up and most definitely FI, although I have seen a similar set up simplified that I believe to be on an NA set up. Hmmmm? Ceejay29
Could be oil temp or boost gauge? I have no idea but would like to emulate something similar for aesthetics
ZMANALEX
That is not what you require for a temp sensor. If you have the gauge and sensor then all you require is something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/200972665328?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=108 Alex. Ekona
That's a fuel pressure gauge, if I'm not very much mistaken. *EDIT* In the pics, not your adaptor tee Alex! Edited August 19, 2014 by Ekona
Ceejay29
Haha! Ok thought I might be slightly off

Ok so I can fit a gauge to your example or am I completely missing the point?
ZMANALEX
No, you fit the sensor to the adaptor. The gauge goes inside the car. Why would you want a temp. gauge in the engine bay you Wally. unless you have x-ray eyes. Alex.

Ekona
Just stick a gauge there anywhere then, don't connect it to anything.

Ekona
I was only half joking. If you want it for the look, just buy a gauge and connect a short bit of hose to it, then run that hose down to somewhere no one will ever see and leave it there. Saves the cost and the hassle.
