Ian
Sell it and buy an Evo/Scooby/Skyline
aldo
super charger and ecu tell him to get in touch with amber perfomance, a mate of mine had just under 300hp and his was nearly undrivable to much torque steer, like Ian said evo or scooby would be his best bet
Tricky-Ricky
Tell him to sell it and buy the 2.2 desel... add a bigger turbo, remap and clutch and he will have over 250BHP and nearly 450ftlbs torque and as a bonus 50-60mpg, and will easily out accelerate a type R up to about 100mph.
GMballistic
Love all the people saying "sell it, buy xyz" Why don't we do that with the Zeds?! ...or people with Skylines sell them & buy a Ferrari etc. If he wants more power from the FN2 then he could always get a turbo kit from TDi North. Starts at £4500 but he'll need to up his budget a bit to do it as he'll need to pay for tuning on top as well plus a boost controller & 3" cat to back system if he doesn't already have one. Personally I wouldn't as putting all that power through fwd is always going to be difficult to put down the power but if he wants to then that's up to him. The base turbo kit is £4500 and consists of the following:Borg Warner T3 500bhp capable turbo Zircotec coated tubular manifold Tial 44, Turbosmart 45 or Precision 46mm wastegate Tial or Turbosmart BOV In-tank fuel pump 1000cc Fuel injectors 3" 304 Stainless downpipe 304 Stainless wastegate screamer/dump pipe Front mount intercooler or TDi North charge-cooler kit Aluminium boost pipes K&N intake filter Goodrich/Aeroquip oil lines and fittings Pack of heat wrap and fire sleeve More info here; http://www.tdi-north.../fn2-turbo-kits Edit: Fyi he'll gain more than 50bhp with that. brillomaster
How does +150 bhp grab you? You need a rotrex supercharger from TTS, supersports kit should do nicely. http://www.tts-perfo...upersport/c1cnp £3850 plus another grand to get it fitted. Theyre based down near silverstone. Plus another £2k + for the full decat exhaust and LSD that they recommend (which will definitely be needed - been there got the t-shirt 😉). Then £1k+ for a decent set of brakes! and £1k+ for better suspension. So about double the guys budget if he wants to do it properly

SJ350z
Like some others have said 50hp for £5000 pounds worth has to be a joke. Unless the guy is completely pessimistic. Hondas are actually good tuning platforms. The vtec isn't to be taking lightly chaps I have a close friend who is honda crazy and he has had some remarkable performance figures. Old EK civic weighing around 1k or just under and was putting out 220bhp was incredible. Tell him to ask the Honda boys on their forum
