spursmaddave
i don't mind the whole hellaflush movement. I think a little stance looks ok but some of them just go too far, dragging their bellies along the motorway on the inside of their rims. Duh! No problem either if they are at car shows taken on a trailer, just get them off the roads. They look stupid to me, but that's subjective it's the fact they probably handle like a milk float on crack so must be dangerous too...
brillomaster
The UK already has a policy to remove hellaflush vehicles from the roads - it's this:
AliveBoy
What I don't get is, apart from badly, how DO they drive?! If the lip of the wheel is a micron from the edge of the arch, you can't turn the wheels at all surely?
BulletMagnet
Tbh, I think when you are stanced, you don't really go anywhere quickly, it's more for slow drive-bys (without the guns) Edited August 14, 2014 by BulletMagnet

BulletMagnet
Yeah, there is a divide of hardcore static stance and whimpy airride stance.....I wouldn't mind being the whimpy sort, at least I can get over speed bumps without ripping my CF lip and CF sideskirts off
AliveBoy
Air ride is definitely the intelligent option. I've always wanted to stance a van or something on air ride so much that you can lift all 4 wheels. Then when people go "my frame is a centimetre from the floor", I can go "my wheels are a centimetre from the floor!" It would either be so cool, or so lame... BulletMagnet
I can go "my wheels are a centimetre from the floor!" Depends on profile size tho..... But with todays airride, you can do the holy grail of what statics cannot do Lay Frame Edited August 14, 2014 by BulletMagnet

brillomaster
Have they actually said what qualifies as hellaflush, and what they're actually banning? Because there is lowering a car but still retaining standard or better than standard driveability (for example a track car) and then there's running a car so low and with so much camber the ride is severely compromised. I assume airride and slamming a car whilst static at a meet wont be outlawed.. it'll just be if you attempt to drive with the sill an inch off the floor, and it'll be at the police officers discretion as to whether he deems your car too low/camber too extreme. This means they'll also have to specify exactly what classes as 'hellaflush' which might be tricky... even people who are 'hellaflush' cant agree on what 'hellaflush' means
Flex
Carbon bonnets will be next and canards - 'cos they protrude and could cut peoples legs off canard, you can say that again. Why would you put ducks on your car anyway?
