JEMAN
Morning all As some of you no, I'm trying to resolve a few issues on my 2003 Z. So for the rear axles clicking has been sorted and plugs changed. The issue I'm trying to resolve is this creaking noise coming from both sides at the rear when I go over uneven surfaces like pulling into my driveway. Yesterday I looked at the anti roll bar bushes (kiwi fit said it was them) causing the noise. I loosened the bracket that holds these bushes in place and greased the bar then re fitted the bracket and tightened. Drove the car of the ramps and.........no difference. So obviously it wasn't them. Any ideas as to what is the cause, or if there is a common fix for this. With the hand brake on, if I rock the car back and forth it happens more so than up and down. Money's a bit tight at the mo so trying to resolve rather than use a garage for the time being Cheers
Martinjj
Was this issue happening before you had the rear axle clicking fixed?
JEMAN
Hi buddy, it sure was but it's getting louder now, I can hear it from inside the car no problem
Ewen@Clark Motorsport
Have you checked the arb links? They are a common failure although normally produce a knock not a creak. Also you mentioned Kwik Fit had a look at it, I wouldn't be trusting their opinion on anything
marzman
Definitely the ARB links if it's creaking.

BulletMagnet
recently had this on the 350z FB page, also creaky noise, so suggested drop links as all other options were eliminated
JEMAN
Thanks so much guys.....I'll try greasing, but will replace when I can...........so they are the small links on the end of the anti roll bar that go up also ? Sorry, but I'm not to sure what to look for. Cheers
marzman
Yes thats them. It's the little ball joint in them that goes.

Ewen@Clark Motorsport
If it does end up being them we keep a few options in stock, the Whiteline adjustable links are the most popular and represent good value at £98 for the pair
Dynamic Turtle
Don't laugh but after many months of trying to find the source of a similar sounding squeak it was traced to the rear bumper plastic chaffing against the boot / rear 3/4 panels! Investigate this before shelling out for new links...
samsniss350z
Try looking on YouTube under "creaking 350Z drop links" as there is a video of a Zed with very creaky drop links, this will guide you, if this is your problem.
