nixy
I have some Mobil 1 Supersyn - fully synthetic 0w-30 Will this be ok to top up with? I've done a search but can't find anyone using this one.
Beavis
That will be fine Nixy to top up with. But what do you have in anyway?
nixy
Not sure actually. I have a receipt somewhere that says what's in it but I think it's only semi - synthetic whatever it was.
Beavis
You can add synthetic with mineral or semi-synthetic so it will be fine. But long term you might want to get your oil changed to fully synthetic. Silkolene Pro S and Amsoil spring to mind or Mobil 1. I am using Amsoil 5w-30at the moment. Argyll
Hmmmm I've just been recommended to either use 5w-40 or 0w-40 full synthetic for all year round use by opieoils. But judging by what your saying it should be 5w-30! Who's right
lomoto
I dont think it will hurt what ever you put in so long as it is good quality oil, and you change it regularly
Andy
I dont think it will hurt what ever you put in so long as it is good quality oil, and you change it regularly +1 I use 5W30 in mine and have done for the last 40k miles (with changes) and the Z loves it! Argyll
I've got some of Halfords own make 5w-30 part synthetic. Do you think this would be okay to use?
z-man
I'm using Castrol Edge 0W-30 fully synthetic and my Z is running much smoother and quieter than with the semi-synthetic that was in it from new.
