CJRamze
So, I see a lot of threads regarding radiator fans and how they are prone to failure. I've been out in the Zed a fair few times and I've been up the mountains hooning around but I've never heard my fans come on. Coolant stays at a tidy 90-93c according to the dial (which favours below middle) and my ODB2 setup So my question is how often in this hot weather do your fans come on? And do most people only notice once it's overheated or just that they don't come on. Is there a way of testing them?
jimboy2
Am I right in thinking that they don't really come on when driving? As it's getting enough cool air. I know they come on when stationary. Could be completely wrong though ha
AndyG8nby
I only noticed mine had gone when it went in for it's MOT and was stood running, on the road and moving it was fine and as I had not been in slow moving traffic I didn't have an issue with the temp rising. Tricky-Ricky
They will come on when the temp sensor is triggered, so if driving hard in high ambient temps, or slow moving traffic and stationary,or when the air con is on, they are not particularly loud, so its unlikely you will hear them unless stationary.
