Any recommendations ? There were quire different levels of performance from what I seem to recall some good, some to avoid. GMballistic
I know a lot of people do recommend Paisley Freight but personally I wouldn't use them. Didn't have a good experience with them. E.g. Didn't turn up for collection/rearranged collection for another day & they still didn't turn up/rearranged collection again & TNT turned up to collect. Just my experience of them though. Here's some threads about couriers; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/77881-recommend-a-courier/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/48465-help-with-a-courier/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/65884-courierdelivery-horror-storys/
Harryjax
Don't bother with my Hermes. I bought and paid for a part to be delivered 24hr That was Tuesday last week. Guess what. Still waiting.
Flex
I've never had a problem with Hermes, guess it just depends on the quality of the local drivers. How will you know till you try them?
The Bounty Bar Kid
My company use them on a national scale. They're rubbish.
KyleR
My experience with Hermes is that they take at least a week to deliver anything. It finally arrives and doesn't seem to be abused, though, which I guess is fine if you're not in a rush and want to save a few quid. Literally, a few quid. From what I understand about Paisley, which I have no experience of, is that they are a middle man rather than an actual courier, so thats why TNT etc will pick up and delivery your parcels. That also kind of explains why they miss pick ups, they're also relying on numbers other companies to do their bit.
pjf1985
I've used City LInk before to send bigger parcels and they are decent
-Bradders-
Heard good things of paisley and some horrid storys, had bad experiences with myhermes but also heard good things lol, i think all couriers these days are hit and miss.
AliveBoy
I've used this company a couple of times. They are a broker, so the fate of your parcel isn't actually in their hands, but I've been happy both times. www.parcel2go.com
-Bradders-
never use yodel either lol.
Gudzy
I don't think side skirts would meet Hermes's size requirements. I usually use paisley freight for larger items like that and have personally never had a problem with them. I've also used parcel2go before successfully, just check that going direct with whoever they suggest isn't cheaper as sometimes it is cheaper on the couriers website.
