ZZZ_2306
Any ideas? Only noticed it tonight with the window down and radio off but at very low speed and break I can hear a slight creaking from under Neath the chassis any ideas? It wasn't there before I had my wheels returned today, well I don't think it was but it could have been, any initial idea?
SkylineV35
Would double check wheel nuts are fully tightened, and maybe put some coppergrease on your brake pads.. then see if noise is still there.
ZZZ_2306
Could it be anything else? Suspension, only hear it at low speed but defo some kind of creaking sound
GIXXERUK
Bushes ? What miles you got ?
ZZZ_2306
It's done 25K miles... Interestingly it does not happen in reverse, only at low speed braking going forwards
ZZZ_2306
Anyone else got any thoughts on this? Don't hear it in reverse on brakes and dont hear it going forward under heavy breaking, just a light creaking at low speed breaking. Would bushes be required at 25K? I still have Nissan warranty so will check it in when I have the P1 service due next month, along with the boot release catch
alroma
Can you replicate it by pushing down on each corner, or trying to rock it? Is the noise definitely coming from underneath the car and not from the wheels/brakes themselves (wheel nuts as previously mentioned, or maybe callipers needing re-tightened?)? ZZZ_2306
Yeah I can't seem to replicate it by pushing or rocking, maybe I will get them to check again by taking them off and having a look strange as it does not happen in reverse
Jack Carter
I had a similar problem on my 5 series a few months ago. The garage said it was the caliper pistons (I think) which they removed and copper greased. It solved the problem at any rate. Not sure if it's the same thing you are experiencing...
