Peak 370
I tend to put the best I can find in all my cars, any thoughts on this for the 370?
MITZ@CougarStore
It'll be the Denso plugs that we suggest, same plugs as fitted from new...
ATTAK Z
Some stupid mechanic put Bosch in mine ... ran like a bag of nails till I put the Denso in sharpish
Tricky-Ricky
Providing that the correct heat range and type are fitted there is no reason whatsoever for the engine to run badly, make of plug will make no difference at all.
ATTAK Z
The thing about mine was that the garage (and I use the term loosely) put crap plugs in at 36,000 without even asking. They put some Bosch wipers on too but that's another story
Peak 370
Bosch plugs did my 996 turbo no harm. Can't see why they would make a 350/370 run poorly?
Peak 370
CS, how often would you change them, ideally?
Tricky-Ricky
Make of plug is totally immaterial (although i avoid Denso iridium on boosted application's, but thats personal preference) like i said as long as they are the correct heat range and reach etc there is no difference, apart form intended longevity. Iridium = intended for longer than average service life, IE where situation/location prohibits frequent change, service life from 30 to 60K mls Platinum = also longer service life, but slightly older tech/metal, similar to above, with a service life of up to 30K mls. Copper core = pretty much the original plug the copper core was developed to promote a stronger spark and keep heat in the plug, thees really need to be changed at around 10K mls There have been many so called "better plugs" with claims of better spark from exotic material's, extra electrodes, none of which are new, and there is no measured advantage in any of them. Peak 370
Does anyone know the correct Denso plug for the 370Z?
MITZ@CougarStore
CS, how often would you change them, ideally? We'd say either 45,000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes first, plugs are £125 for a set of 6...
Peak 370
NGK Iridium are on E Bay at £72 a set. Good purchase?
