bc1987
As above. fit a japspeed y pipe to my oem backsection and backbox and it resonates horribly so after a Milltek.
bc1987
Anybody else fitted a japspeed y pipe to oem rear? I need to know what rear section will stop it droning at motorway speeds??
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
I wouldn't have thought it would make much difference just from the Y pipe being fitted bud, they don't make that much sound difference. Why don't you swap it out and get a nice Invidia Gemini with Burnt tips, I have one in stock
Lyndzzz
I've got a Japspeed Y fitted to a standard exhaust and there's no issues or drone at all! Had it on for nearly 6 weeks now.
bc1987
Maybe I fitted it wrong. Do you do try before you buy Chris... and can my "try" be a couple of years????
bc1987
So I now have one of these fancy boot dividers the noise is better but still ridiculous considering I only changed the y pipe. Any suggestions?
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
Best advice Get it on a ramp and check where the noise is coming from as thats not normal.
-Bradders-
I was going to say, if you've fitted a Y pipe and a boot divider has made it better, the noise must be coming from the back!?
bc1987
So had a quick inspection this morning after possibly the most uncomfortable journey down the M1 (btw is the owner of a turquoise 350z roadster with my fairlady on the back on here? i love your car) and there is a chuffing huge hole at the joint between the Y and back section. so.. after market y pipe back anyone? Looking for second hand first but may have to use the new tarmac cobra site!
