balla
Right my car is booked in for mot tomorrow at 12:15 my car has been stood dry for a year, took it to work today to sort a couple bits out and on the way home it overheated I checked the thermostat when I had it off the road and it opened a little bit about 6-7 mm so I think that may be the problem as my top rad hose is really hot and the bottom is cold so I'm getting no flow but could this also be the water pump and if it is where is that located. Also the heaters are blowing cold air but did warm up for a tad when I gave it a little. What do people think and where can I get these parts tomorrow as I need it mot ? balla
Could well be but I've followed the bleed procedure í ½í¸• And I'm in Northamptonshire I don't mind traveling within reason as I still have use of a car tomorrow but after tomorrow I have to give the car back hence the urgency
GMballistic
Shouldn't stop you getting your MOT done though should it, ...unless the garage is really far away?
balla
It's not really the problem I need the car working as I will be car less if it's not. Are they commonly stocked by part suppliers ?
GMballistic
I'd imagine Clark Motorsport will have everything you'll need. Link: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/207-clark-motorsport/ ...but obviously that won't help you for tomorrow. Best bet would be to ring a local branch of LDS or similar motor factors in the morning if you need them urgently. Can't say for certain whether they'll have them, ..even a Nissan main dealer has to order in most parts.
balla
Ok Thanks if I can't sort it tomorrow I'll give them a call And I was hoping some one might know a common part supplier Also does that sound like a possible fault

ZMANALEX
Was this before or after you swopped out the IPDM and the BCM ? If after, I would check that the fan motors are working, in fact I would check out the fan motors irrespective. Alex.

M13KYF
bleeding the system can be tricky and can take a couple of attempts to ensure you have got rid of any airblocks. Also defo worth checking the rad fans as they do fail. Mishmoto do a excellent replacement and cheaper than OEM.
