dannybz
Hi Guys I just purchased a new zed, 54 plate 04 with 61k miles on her, the gear changes seem to be quite notchy/grindy is there anyway to fix this? Also the gearstick vibrates quite a bit.
Will370z
Sounds perfectly normal, it's just a characteristic of the car

dannybz
Also is it normal to hear pops and crackles coming from underneath the car? Edited July 3, 2014 by dannybz
cmck13
Also is it normal to hear pops and crackles coming from underneath the car? No, that's because you are eating too many Rice Krispies, I would worry if you hear the snap.
mc
a gearbox oil change could help with the notchiness, genuine nissan gear oil normally recommended. vibration of the gear stick is normal as already said
bamdc2
350z is actually a pretty noisey car so dont worry about these noises. As said gear change is notchy but it shouldnt grind at higher rpm. Get a louder exhaust and these wont worry you!
