Aparently not sure if this is true, since 2001 it was passed that if a garage uses genuine nissan oem parts they can service your car and still stamp the book.

If this true I want to know as I dont want to take my car to be Serviced my Nissan anymore as I think they over charge for sod all, they say they are servicing the car but all they do apparently is have some spotty 18 year old do an oil check and thats it.

Am thinking of going down the specialist route of using someone who will genuinly look after my car and do full examination on the set up especially after engine chip and so forth and get them to stamp my book.

I know it will still count as a service check, but do you think this will hinder sales on the resale of the car if seen thats its not done by Nissan?

It will hinder resale as you'll have FSH not FNSH. But, once you've started messing with the engine (FI), warranty will be void so you don't need to worry about Nissan not paying out. Also, the person who buys a heavily modded zed would, i assume, be happier that a specialist such as TDI or the like have been looking after it. :)

Sweet thats the route Im planning to go down. A guy who use to work for TDI for 15 years set up his own company and knows his stuff, he has his own dyno as well

I wouldnt even think of using Nissan if I had a tuner like that near me
