Grundy
Yo, So was talking to my good pal tonight, and we've got the space, knowledge and soon to have the equipment for it. I know Vlad took this on a little while ago. Before we start it up, I want to find out if there is any interest in this for me to take this any further. We will be able to dip most things (Will be using a bath tub So up to that size) Also, it doesn't have to just be Carbon Matt
Vlad
There are loads of interest on it mate! If u advertise it on FB - you get even more! P.s. bath tub not really that big as it seems lol
GMballistic
If the price is right then I'm sure you'll do well Matt. Are you good at the prep work needed and spraying afterwards? Just a thought as some things like the interior door pulls will need all that "soft touch" paint removed which even the professional dippers I used found to be a right nightmare. Think mine was bead blasted to get all of it off in the small areas in the end. Definitely a market for it though.
davedutch
I for one was on the verge of getting Vlad to dip centre console and door pulls etc. Looking for a hint of blue. Are you planning on doing parts on an exchange basis and if not roughly how long are you planning to take turning jobs aroundand any ideas on price? No idea on prices yet, once we have the kit etc, and see how much stock costs, then we can arrange set prices. I'll probably be planning on buying a couple of interior bits, dipping, then exchanging. davedutch
Keep me posted, I definitely want to do this and if necessary could take a day trip to you to swop parts when ready, any excuse for a drive also consider engine bay bits.

AliveBoy
Something better than a bathtub to use supposedly is an old chest freezer, keeps the water temp reliable, is watertight and you can obviously shut it when needed and the depth is constant all over. You can also get them for fairly cheap as you don't need it to actually freeze stuff
rtbiscuit
If your doing lots it helps to set up a wear so that you can flush the surface water off without having to empty and start again with the water. Good water heater and water thermometer help. Choose your materials and suppliers wisely. Use the wrong paint and you'll have stuff coming back to be re done. Or the etching process won't take as well.
