richard.hezlett
If your boot does not open the inch or two free of the boot latch when you push the boot release button you need your boot poppers reconditioned. Peteman35 does this if you pm him. If this is ok but your hatch is then hard to push right up it's your struts as detailed in previous thread that need changed. samsniss350z
As well as getting uprated SGS struts you could always remove the counterweight in the back of the boot lid, just remove the boot cover and its the large black weight which surprisingly weighs quite a lot. philw99
Removing the weights fixed any issue for me
monkeybrain1234
Why do they put the weight in there in the first place?? Surely you would want to reduce the weight of opening the boot???!! Or am I missing something fundemental here?!
Fluke
If your boot does not open the inch or two free of the boot latch when you push the boot release button you need your boot poppers reconditioned. Peterman does this if you pm him. If this is ok but your hatch is then hard to push right up it's your struts as detailed in previous thread that need changed. I could do with mine being done, whats his forum name? I can't see a Peterman listed.
