Level 7 Boss
I'm finally installing my double din tonight. Aside from following this guide, can anyone offer any advice? It's a Pioneer avh 2600bt. www.350z-uk.com/topic/56249-just-installed-jvc-hu-wiring-pics-to-help-others/ Cheers

Level 7 Boss
Got the dash out Ok but the unit didn't power up. Think I need to splice the connections. Going to pay someone to do it instead now.
richard.hezlett
I had same problem. Did you earth your new head unit to a bit of metal in the dash?
Level 7 Boss
Didn't go great. Paid someone to install. He allegedly installed the steering wheel control, yet it doesn't work. Further to that, I have the dreaded reduced sound defect. Happy with the units functionality, and it does modernise the dash. But I'm going to have to pay even more money to correct this now. Also, can't remember what cable to buy for my note 2 to get app radio working. Over to google.
richard.hezlett
Check Busters thread for mod to cure reduced sound. Fairly straight forward to do. I bought my cables from incartec. There website is very easy to use. Good luck.
Level 7 Boss
I have all the cables from incartec. I'm a bit loathed to Do the buster mod, don't want to fry the amp or speakers lol
Briggsybriggs1
You need to connect the blue wire from your head unit, that turns on the Bose amp or jack all will work . The buster mod is easy or you could go to Maplin and get a part that will work the same . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

richard.hezlett
Busters mod very straight forward. Lots of people on the forum including myself have done it with no problems. Plenty of help here if you need it.
Level 7 Boss
So what do you guys think the issue could be with the steering wheel controls?
Briggsybriggs1
So what do you guys think the issue could be with the steering wheel controls? I never fit one on my head unit. You could always leave it out and fit it later on :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Level 7 Boss
Usb mass storage doesn't work. Steering wheel controls and apps don't work. I'm going to have to pay someone again to sort this mess.

un1eash
Steering wheel controls is just 3 wires and it doesnt even matter if you get 2 of them the wrong way round.
