zabba
I know this comes up a lot, but there are so many different guides that I've looked through, both on here and the US sites. Problem is the window went all the way down and doesn't move back up at all. Am I right in saying that the reset procedure always mentioned on here is not going to work, since it isn't working at all? and therefore I need to access the motor to clean up as a fix or buy a replacement? I took off the door card and then started undoing some of the bolts on the door panel but stopped as I suddenly realised that wasn't needed for the reset procedure, but now thinking the reset can't work as the glass is stuck at the bottom. Any advice as to what I need to do would be welcome, I've put the car away in the garage and will sort it out at the weekend.
jumping350
give the bottom of the inside door a whack and press up button and see if it come up, if it does leave it up and then have a go at motors Edited June 12, 2014 by jumping350
samsniss350z
It sounds like your motor could be on its way out, this happened to me. Sometimes the window would operate OK then other times it would only open part way then stop. Pushing the switch would elicit no sound at all yet I'd go back the next day and all would be well. sometimes the window wouldn't open at all. The result for me was to buy a new motor which solved the problem completely. you can refurbish motors by replacing the bushes which are usually worn down to a tiny stub. Replacements can be bought from RadioShack and I've repaired a spare passenger window motor this way. I tried cleaning it out first but this only worked for a couple of months before I started encountering problems again.
