Tightening the engine bay OEM strut brace

Recommended Posts

I need to tighten mine as it has been off/on the car and was loosened when it was reinstalled.

Can you tell me if this is correct please?

> Tighten the center bolt 1.7 turns - tighten the bolt towards you/the front of the car.

cheers

I've just replied to your mail, I wouldn't go too heavy on the central bolt. Find tension, secure with the outer nuts, which will retain the tension you set.

In creating too much tension you'll hear the strut brace creak, or the bolts on the feet. Make sure also the strut feet bolts are tight (as per mail, not sure on the torque setting).
