PO345 Camshaft position sensor

Hi guys, need some advise please as supposed to be setting off for Le Mans next weekend.

 

Fault code PO345 came up,camshaft position sensor, found an old post from Alex which confirmed bank 2.

 

Slightly poor starting now & ESP lights are on.

 

Did some digging & found a diagram which says bank 2 is on the right hand side when facing the car from the front, pulley towards you.

 

Ordered a new sensor from Clarks , bank 1 & 2 are different parts.

 

My mechanics replaced sensor, same fault code coming up.

 

Clarks sent sensor for bank 2 but facing the car it's on drivers side, ie left not right.

 

So, question is, which is bank 1 & 2, I appreciate a more serious fault may lie beneath?

Update, still need conclusive answer, mechanic just found video on you tube showing bank 2 sensor is on right side ie pax side under inlet manifold, not drivers side as sent?

 

Any ideas folks?

In the Owners Manual cylinder numbers are;

 

From front

 

Left from front to back. 1,3,5

Right from front to back. 2,4,6

On a R/H/D 350Z, Bank 1 is the driver's side and Bank 2 is the passenger side.

 

Bank 1 sensor is straight and Bank 2 sensor is angled.

Thank you Ken & Alex, from your replies I suspect may have been sent wrong one? Will check re angled/straight tomorrow.

 

Really appreciate your advises, some urgency as don't won't to go kaput en route to Le Mans, or take the shed!!!!!
