has anyone had any experience with the above unit or know anything, news about it? it seems to be decent enough and like a plug and play nearly for the Zed, just wondered what you guys think or know really?

Well, I got this one: http://www.ebay.co.u...TRK:MEBIDX:IT�� - cheaper than chips and does pretty much all I need and way way better than the shitty Bose thing. Have a look around this dealer he has some good stuff. I can't be assed to show you pix but it looks ok too.

You pretty much get what you pay for, a similar spec Pioneer/Kenwood/JVC/Alpine would be £1k so as long as you are happy for it to be laggy, not too pretty and probably an interface that will drive you mad then fair enough...

To be fair it will most likely work ok unless you get a duff one but just don't expect to be blown away in terms of quality is all I was saying...

I bought a cheap one like this for a car about 6 or 7 years back, it was crap. When I went from CD, to USB, to radio the interface appearance changed each time - in USB mode it looked like a DOS window! It did what it said it would, but the controls, speed and the rest of it was tiresome and crap. And you have some chinese lady shout some chinese 'boot up words' at you each time you turn it on!
