Hi, I just bought a jap import & I would like to know what is everything is and what's it for. This leads to my first enquiry which is, does anyone know what is the device under the steering wheel to the right? There is slot with a eject button with the letters ESC marked on it? Also there is a button near the foglight switch which when you push the switch down a red light come on which is on it & it make a buzzing noise comes on?

Any help would be well respected.

Didn't you get a manual with it?

The ESC button is the on/off button for the "Electronic Stability Control" ~ stops the wheels spinning etc.

The other button, ...well that could be anything. No idea on that one sorry.

That's the buzzer switch. It switches on/off the buzzer.

You're welcome.

ESC will most probably be the toll card reader that they have in Japan :)

The button could be anything though, i'd guess at rear fog light

Toll card reader, I still have the card in it too...

Yep. Dartford toll bridge desperately needs something like this! stupid queues!

Barriers are going very shortly, it will be like the London congestion charge where you do it online/by phone. Should drastically reduce traffic.
