Neoncypher
Hi all, Before this is dismissed as 'another guy not searching the forums/web for answers', please read... I replaced my passenger window motor the other week as mine had died a death. I replaced it with a used motor bought from a member on here. After replacing it, I tried the reset procedure as suggested by Nissan (door open, lift UP and HOLD window switch until fully closed, get in car, close door, press and HOLD reset switch, whilst doing so, press down and HOLD window switch until fully opened - release reset switch, lift UP and HOLD window switch until window is fully closed - Open door to release door switch. Window glass should partially move down) So the window motor works fine, and the glass does partially move down when I open the door now, but when the door is closed it doesn't automatically roll up. I thought it might be an issue with the motor not knowing what the fully up position is, so I tried rolling up the window and holding the window switch up for around 10 seconds as some people have suggested, to no avail. I've literally tried every variation of the reset procedure I can find online and in these forums - has anyone else on here had this kind of issue and solved it? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers Adam

Flex
If the motor wasn't too expensive could try and get another or see if any zed specialists nearby. Doesn't sound like a straight forward problem. Perhaps a trader on here might part ex the motor you have??
Stutopia
Check the door close nipple in the door shut. This was playing up on mine and caused the same issue. Should be easy to inspect and tweek with your finger. I didn't find it until I tried the reset several times and a helpful member on here suggested it. There's also the other reset if that doesn't work. But try the nipple first as it's a 1 minute job. http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/index.php?title=TSB_04-089_Window_Regulator_Motor_Reset_Procedure Good luck. Neoncypher
Thanks SuperStu I'll check that tonight when I get in and report any findings
Neoncypher
So I checked that door close nipple you mentioned - seemed ok as far as I could tell - is it supposed to lower the window a tad each time you press it? Anyway, the window still doesn't auto up after the door is closed, and it still automatically drops when you open the door - although the drop is significantly more than the drivers door when that does it.... Stutopia
Can't quite remember TBH but logically speaking I'd assume that 1) when you open the door it obviously auto drop a few centimetres 2) when you tweak it's nipples, you've tricked it into thinking the door is closed, so it should auto rise a couple of centimetres 3) when you un tweak it, it should drop down again That would appear to be the sensible behaviour. Sounds suspicious that the it behave differently on each side. Did you have a look at the other reset procedure with the finger on the button on the motor?
