garak112
I set about changing the HU in my 350z this evening and encountered a problem when removing the old one, the 'big' radio connector came apart rather than come out of the HU (there were 2 tabs missing from it so it wasn't properly holding together). I put the connector back together with the wires ordered as per the below photo: http://www.mlround.w...z/ice/CC/11.jpg and tried the new radio, and had no power. I put the old radio back and still could not get the radio to turn back on. Is there a single fuse that could have blown to cause this or is this a connector problem? Has anyone else got a photo of the main bose connector so I can double check that the wires are in the right place? wain_alan
Mine look different than yours, so don't know if they are much help. I had the Bose head unit, car is 2004. http://i.imgur.com/gX3bHdM.jpg http://i.imgur.com/VC7fWD3.jpg
garak112
That's weird, different cables (2004 car as well). I managed to get it working again, the under bonnet fuse had failed. I think it must have been from the terminals bumping in to each other when the connector came apart. I now have my new radio in and the GF is happy because she can play music from her iPod and doesn't have to suffer the same cds over and over.
