gareth29
Does anyone happen to know this, also the number of teeth on the crank sprocket? - Just trying to solve a little puzzle I encountered when refitting the timing chain on my engine.

gareth29
thanks alex I was just trying to work out how many times you'd have to turn the engine over in order to get the timing marks back in line with number 1 cylinder at TDC (compression) - turns out its quite a lot! This confused/worried me when I was doing the job as I thought the timing was going "out" after I had turned the engine over - which didnt make any sense.
