Adamski
Hi everyone!! Just want to introduce myself and start my thread, I had a range of front wheel drive cars which were great but always wanted to go rear wheel drive...as I work for BMW you would think this would have been done earlier in my life..haha Anyway had a introduction drift day and found myself selling my 2009 Focus RS and getting a Nissan 350Z So here is what I found and then parted with my cash.. Always know about these cars but was always too young to insure the beast.. Loved the sound, the driving feel , and it didn't look that dated like lots of cars these days. Well there is going to be a few missing pictures so I do apologise for this..I ended up on driftworks webite which can be a dangerous thing when owning a credit card. Bought myself some Rota Grids in matt black And some new coilovers HSD Monopro Haha I took these pictures from the internet sorry for the random image size.. So then the car looked a bit like this Its a really bad picture. So at this point ended up enjoying my car and loved the way it drove and the noise was cool found out the prvious owner had removed the centre silencer so my exhaust was loud ... Problem is I get board of car quickly so had a few phones call and after letting Aaron have a go in mine so now my mate had one thought i wanted something different and just always want to build a car... SO this happened and I know this is going to be a bit love or hate but anyway its happening now and there is no turning back...haha stripping of the VQ35 front end off , coolant out , air con evacuated.. Exhaust removed Wiring loom disconnected from ecu. And out she starts to come just a few hours later.. And that was that fun afternoon ...haha ended up with my car looking like this I searched the internet swaps to do and ended up falling in love with a skyline that was being built on the driftworks fourm a NISSOTA and nissan/toyota what a great plan (at the time haha) So ended up buying a 1JZ-GTE off ebay And picked it up from a japanese dude called dave...I know what your all thinking... I didn't think that was his real name . haha Did some research I know its not a 2JZ but they are quite hard to get hold of but these were developed by yamaha and have a very short con rod and stroke and due to the cast iron block pretty strong. Started to strip it down Stared to clean it up and it look a bit newer
The Chubby Ninja
This is awesome. The 1jz sounds amazing and good to see another zed owner that's bought the car to 'drive' and not just polish the he'll out of it. This is going to be another great build
